About the Role:
Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school in Leeds. This is a full-time position starting on January 6th, 2025. You will be working closely with children who have autism and other special educational needs, providing essential support to help them thrive in their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities.
Support students with autism and other special educational needs in their learning and development.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning space.
Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the students' education.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly autism.
A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education is desirable.
