Our client is a well-established and manufacturer. They are recruiting for an Injection Moulding Setter to join their production team. As a Plastic Injection Moulding Tool Setter, you will carry out tool changes and insert changes within the injection moulding department to maintain optimum production.

Applicant Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Plastic Injection Moulding Tool Setter.
• Experience of programming and adjusting 3 axis and 6 axis robots to remove mouldings from the mould tools.
• Overhead Crane experience.
• IMT (Injection Moulding Technology) level 2 or higher.

Shift pattern: 6.00am - 2.00pm / 10.00pm - 6.00am / 2.00pm - 10.00pm, on a 3-week rotating basis. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with half an hour break.

Salary: £16.19 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• To set injection moulding tools in various machines and achieve high quality parts at the optimum cycle time.
• Carry out scheduled mould tool changes quickly, efficiently, and effectively to minimise changeover times and machine downtime.
• Monitoring cycle times against target cycle times on a regular basis, ensuring deviations are identified and rectified in a timely manner.
• Changing and replenishing raw materials, refilling hopper loaders and day bins as required.
• Troubleshooting issues encountered during a production run to maintain the production of good high-quality parts.
• Understanding of the importance of the first off samples, meeting both visual and dimensional specifications.
• Ensure production outputs are achieved on time and in full.
• Conducting material and colour changes as dictated by the production schedule.
• Setting and adjusting 3 axis and 6 axis robots to remove the mouldings efficiently from the mould tools.
• Assisting with injection mould tooling maintenance as required.
• Fault finding and rectifying injection moulding processing problems in a timely manner to maintain quality and minimise scrap levels.

This role would suit someone with previous experience in injection moulding as a Moulding Technician / Tool Setter / Injection Mould Setter / Plastics Production Technician / Production Operative / Plastic Manufacturing Operator / similar
