Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Pay rate: £11.44 per hour

We are hiring for a Warehouse Operative to undertake loading/offloading, and general warehouse duties at our client’s distribution centre in Chaddesden. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where you'll play an essential role in fulfilling customer orders.

Duties of a Warehouse Operative:
As part of the Logistics and Warehouse team, your responsibilities will include:

Safely load and unload goods from lorries or containers, using forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
Inspect, repack, or rework products to meet quality standards before dispatch.
Help organise and label inventory, placing items in allocated areas.
Maintain tidy workspaces by disposing of waste, sweeping, and keeping pathways clear.
Operate warehouse equipment safely, conducting regular checks.
Support stock rotation and ensure items are positioned for efficient space use and easy access.

Skills and Experience of a Warehouse Operative:
To succeed in this role, previous experience with:

Working in a similar warehouse or logistics role is advantageous
It would be beneficial to the Warehouse Operative role if you also had:

Strong communication skills, especially in spoken and written English
Access to reliable transportation; the site is accessible by car, public transit, walking, or cycling
A team-oriented attitude and attention to detail
