A highly experienced, award-winning construction and interior fit-out company, based in London are seeking a Health and Safety Co-Ordinator to support with the delivery of a luxury Hotel Refurbishment , including a rooftop extension with super luxury suites in an iconic Hotel In London. This role involves managing health and safety standards during the refurbishment of the rooftop extension and the delivery of luxury suites.
They deliver a world class finish on every project. They can deliver all aspects of a fit-out project and work with a host of prestigious clients. They are looking for a Health and Safety Co-Ordinator who is a Temporary works co-ordinator to oversee health and safety coordination for a luxury hotel refurbishment project.
They are looking for someone from a contractor background with experience of heavy structural works.
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety Oversight - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards throughout the refurbishment project.
Temporary Works Coordination - Act as a Temporary Works Coordinator, ensuring that all temporary structures are designed and implemented safely.
Site Inspections - Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure that safety protocols are being followed.
Risk Assessments - Prepare, review, and update risk assessments and method statements related to construction activities.
Safety Training - Develop and deliver safety training programs for site personnel to promote a culture of safety.
Incident Reporting - Investigate accidents and incidents on-site, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
Collaboration - Liaise with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure a cohesive approach to health and safety.
Documentation - Maintain accurate health and safety records, reports, and documentation as required by legislation and company policies.
Qualifications
Experience - Proven experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on refurbishment projects.
Background - Candidates with a contractor background are highly desirable, particularly those with experience in steelwork and structural works.
Certifications - Relevant health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are preferred but not essential
Technical Knowledge - Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices in construction.
Communication Skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
Problem-Solving Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address safety challenges effectively.
Previous experience as a Health and Safety biased Site Manager will be considered an advantage.
Familiarity with heavy structural works, roof top extensions and other heavy cut and carve projects would be advantageous
