Empowering is recruiting for an Early year's teacher based in Bromley Borough to work full -Time. Teaching pupils in year 3 class (who are developmentally like Year 1 children) with autism and ADHD.
My client school are looking for a teacher to teach small groups with autism and SEMH. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced teacher to join our team on a long-term basis.
This role starts ASAP
Duties and responsibilities
Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum, and schemes of work.
Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests
Role and Responsibilities:
The teacher will work 5 days a week from 8.30 am till 4 pm (not negotiable).
The teacher will need to start as soon as possible.
The right person will be responsible for handover and planning for the return for this term.
The teacher will need to have experience or a qualification in teaching children.
PGCE, QTS or QTLS, bachelor's in education ( will be required at a minimum to be applicable for this role)
Requirements:
A degree in education or a relevant qualification in teaching is required.
Experience working with children with Autism, SEMH needs is highly desirable, not a must
Passion and dedication to work with children with special needs.
