We're expanding our AI team to accelerate innovation and strengthen our machine learning capabilities.

We are seeking a Graduate AI/Machine Learning Developer to join our growing AI team. You’ll work closely with our AI developer and other key members of the development team to enhance and build new machine learning models and data-driven solutions that power our platform’s analytics engine.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and deploying machine learning models that process camera data for customer behavior analysis (e.g., footfall tracking, product interaction detection).

Work with the AI team to build models for real-time data analysis, including occupancy tracking, customer engagement, and conversion rate analysis.

Collaborate with the AI team to design and implement computer vision algorithms for object detection, heatmapping, and session tracking.

Support the training, validation, and optimization of AI models, ensuring accuracy and scalability.

Integrate AI/ML models with Merlin Cloud’s platform to provide real-time insights to clients.

Continuously research and prototype new AI techniques that could enhance the platform’s analytics capabilities.

Help maintain the AI codebase, ensuring clean, scalable, and efficient code.

Collaborate with the full-stack and frontend developers to integrate AI insights into dashboards and reports for end-users.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and their applications.

Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Knowledge of computer vision techniques (e.g., object detection, tracking, and segmentation).

Experience with data preprocessing, model training, and model validation.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design, implement, and debug models.

Good understanding of neural networks, deep learning, and relevant AI/ML methodologies.

Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data management workflows.

Experience in developing real-time data analytics systems.

Familiarity with camera-based data processing or video analytics.

Hands-on experience with image processing tools such as OpenCV.

Experience with API integration to link AI models with cloud services.

Understanding of GDPR and data privacy as it relates to AI in retail environments.
