The Opportunity
My client are the nations largest network of janitorial and catering distributors & suppliers and are strategically located around the country to be able to provide world-class service and quality to their customers. They are a synonymous brand in the industry and are known for their high quality and performing products. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced strategic buyer/category manager to take ownership of their own category and manage the procurement process for up to 47 distributors.
Package
* Up to £45,000 per annum (experience dependant)
* 22 days holidays + bank holidays

Responsibilities
* Negotiating with suppliers – prices, contracts, rebates, SLAs
* Tendering & Benchmarking with new and existing suppliers
* Managing supplier performance to ensure high standards
* Source new products/ranges from local and overseas suppliers
* Ensure MRP system is up to date with prices and supplier details
* Ensure approved distributors are kept up to date with category/market changes
About you
* Proven experience negotiating contracts and supply agreements
* CIPS level 5 and upwards (or working towards)
* 3+ years’ experience working in a strategic procurement role, most industries considered if you can demonstrate transferrable skills
* Comfortable working in a fast paced environment working with various key stakeholders
