We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant for a construction company based in Swanley
This role is offered as a maternity leave cover, so therefore you will need to be able to commit to the role until Sept 2025
Ideally you will have experience working in the construction industry with some experience with CIS payments using QuickBooks and with coding invoices
The role covers, sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, bank reconciliation – see below for further duties.
A handover will be given to the new person in the role for the immediate start
The role will cover various duties in the finance dept such as;
Sales ledger:
Understanding of monthly applications (Construction)
Raising sales invoices from application
Post sales invoice in QuickBooks
Understanding of CIS deduction on sales invoice.
Credit control:
Sending statements to client.
Chasing aged debt.
Payment terms
Raising credit notes if needed.
Purchase ledger:
Coding invoices
Accurately processing purchase invoices on QuickBooks.
Understanding of CIS element when processing labour invoices.
Knowledge of bank reconciliation
You will need to be confident working under your own supervision, with ability to respond to queries
Working in busy, fast-moving environment,
Knowledge of accounting software – ideally QuickBooks and CIS payments.
Ideally available to start immediately, have finance experience in construction – and have used accounting software, such as QuickBooks
