**ESSENTIAL**

Rate: £44.50 Umbrella

Work Arrangements: Hybrid

Havering are recruiting experienced social workers for roles in our New Safeguarding Teams. These teams will focus on:

- Children in need casework (CIN)

- Children and families (domestic abuse)

- Child protection (CP)

___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Key focus:

As a Team manager within the Safeguarding you will be required to:

Ability to manage a caseload of complex and challenging cases
Capability to support the Group manager in maintaining and developing high standards across the team
Represent the service in developing key service provision or strategy initiatives
Provide coaching and mentoring within the team as well as effective case management and high quality written work _______________________________________________________________________

Support Network:

- We have 2 permanent consultant social workers who work closely with all our ASYE's and social workers within the service

- Systemic Practitioners who offer consultations and support to all our staff.

- Havering also offer robust support within their HR framework

- Each Team is made up of:

- 1x TM

- 2 x AP to support with complex casework.

Working Model:

- Hybrid model

- Flexible approach involving working from our town hall campus/hubs.

- Expectation to work from our town hall campus during your teams duty week, for team meetings and other development days and at managers discretion some ad-hoc days onsite may be needed.

- Encouraging face to face working for teams as we know how important this is for social workers and all meetings with children and family take place face to face.

Requirements:

Social Work England (SWE) registration.
Minimum 2years + working experience (social worker with children and families, including assessments and statutory work). ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Working location and arrangements (if not working from home): Town Hall, Main Road, Romford RM1 3AR Our main Town Hall campus benefits from excellent transport links via car or public transport. Our offices are located centrally in Romford, only 18 minutes from London Liverpool Street Station and easily accessible via the M25, A12, A406 and A127

*Please note this vacancy is subject to the London Agency Worker Pledge Agreement which stipulates:-

Permanently employed Social Workers are restricted from undertaking an agency role with a London Pledge Borough for a 6-month period following departure (if leaving perm role with London Authority, they cannot move to an agency role with another London Authority for 6 months)
3 weeks' notice period may be required (at discretion of manager/council)
