Site Manager

* Rate: Up to £300 per day CIS

We are working with a leading Main Contractor delivering a long-term MOD framework in Reading, offering a secure pipeline of work for at least 3 years, with potential for further extension. The project consists of a combination of new build and refurbishment schemes, forming part of a wider defence infrastructure programme. The new build elements will include a variety of structures such as office buildings, storage units, and ancillary buildings, constructed using a mix of steel frame and reinforced concrete (RC) frame methods. Refurbishment works will involve upgrades to existing facilities, including internal reconfigurations, M&E enhancements, and fabric repairs, all delivered within live operational environments.

Security Clearance Required

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to undergo security vetting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Overseeing daily site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and programme compliance

* Coordinating subcontractors and trades to ensure smooth project delivery

* Managing site documentation, permits, and health & safety compliance

* Liaising with project teams, clients, and stakeholders

* Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager

* Ensuring works are delivered to specification and within agreed timescales

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on MOD or secured environment projects would be beneficial but not essential

* Strong background in managing both new build and refurbishment works

* SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certifications

* Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills

* Eligibility for security clearance is essential
