EA Associates are working with an Ipswich-based civil engineering contractor with projects across East Anglia. We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role would suit someone with 3-5 years of experience, but they are also open to considering applicants from Assistant Quantity Surveyors.

Role Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation

* Managing payments to subcontractors and suppliers

* Monitoring project costs and variations

* Supporting the preparation of final accounts

* Assisting in procurement processes and negotiating contracts

* Reporting project financial performance to senior management

Requirements:

* 3-5 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in civil engineering but also open to general construction backgrounds.

* Open to candidates with less experience looking to step up from Assistant level

* Good working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts

* Proficient in MS Excel and other relevant software

* Full UK driving licence
