Job Duties:
Educators will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging history lessons to students. They will develop and implement a curriculum that meets educational standards and encourages students to explore historical events and concepts. The teacher will assess student progress, provide feedback, and support the individual learning needs of students.
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in History. They should also demonstrate a passion for teaching and a strong knowledge of the subject matter.
Education:
A PGCE and QTS in History are essential for this role. A degree in History or a related field is also desirable.
Experience:
Previous experience teaching history at the secondary level is preferred but not required. Newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge and Skills:
The candidate should have a deep understanding of historical concepts and events. They should possess strong classroom management skills, be adaptable to different teaching styles, demonstrate patience when working with students, and show resilience in challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications in Education or History are an advantage. Experience in using technology in the classroom and a track record of improving student performance are also desirable.
Working Conditions:
Educators will work in a school environment, following the academic calendar. They will collaborate with other faculty members, communicate with parents and guardians, and participate in professional development opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
