Academics LTD are working with an excellent secondary school in Swindon who are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to start ASAP. We are looking to appoint proactive, hardworking & enthusiastic graduates to oversee lessons and support students learning, whilst maintaining the schools high standards for behaviour, when teacher colleagues are absent.

This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate Cover Supervisor who is looking to gain experience in a secondary school setting before moving on to their teacher training. This is a unique opportunity as the school offers teacher training to exceptional Cover Supervisors.

Main Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor will be:

Manage the behaviour of students to ensure they are working in a constructive learning environment
Act as a role model and develop positive working relationships with Students and other members of staff
Supervise pre-assigned lessons in the absence of regular teachers.
Establish rapport quickly with students
Be flexible to cover various subjects across KS3 and KS4Ideal Cover Supervisor will have:

Previous experience working in a school setting or experience with young people
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A passion and commitment to support students in their learning
Ability to maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere
