Part time Office Manager
C21 hours per week
£14 - 15ph - permanent contract
Come and join this small, friendly team of Accountants supporting the MD by undertaking a variety of administrative duties which will include some finance (not accounts) related activities and use of Word & Excel daily.
REGULAR
* Onboard new clients including setup on portal, subscribe to monthly newsletter, register as agent with HMRC across specified work areas, professional clearance letter and update new client checklist spreadsheet.
* Liaising with HMRC for queries relating to Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE and Self-Assessment - training provided
* Tracking HMRC activities and returns for client use
* Supporting MD with diary, travel, production of correspondence.
* Answering telephone calls.
* Maintain register of work received from clients and allocation to storage
* Prompt clients for paperwork in a timely fashion.
* Maintain employee timesheet reconciliation so billable work hours are tracked
* Maintain holiday / absence spreadsheet
* Purchase office consumables
* Pay cheques into client bank accounts when necessary.
* Distribute quarterly newsletter to clients.
* Evaluate and action any electronic marketing opportunities
* Analysis of data using Excel.
* Marketing.
* Attend with MD local business networking events
* Evaluate any other marketing opportunities (for example Linkedin, X, Web site etc.)
SKILLS
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and a bit of an all rounder who can prioritise, learn new skills and organise tasks without supervision. You'll need good Word and Excel skills, some knowledge of accountancy/book-keeping would be desirable as wopuld an interest in marketing a small business
