Consultancy / MEP/ Building Services / Senior Electrical Design Engineer / Principal Electrical Engineer

This senior electrical design engineer role is to join a friendly and sociable professional practice of building services design consultants. They provide complex mechanical and electrical solutions with a focus on sustainability to sectors including healthcare, education, commercial and heritage.

You will be responsible for the oversight of engineers and technicians, including the mentoring and training of other staff; the management of project workflows and milestones. As you progress, you will gain experience in bidding for new work, drafting fee proposals and project financial management.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities

* Working as part of a friendly collaborative design team delivering detailed designs on a wide variety of projects.

* Directly advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint.

* Leading project surveys

* Feasibility studies

* Project design

* Specifications

* On-site supervision

* Contract administration

* Management of electrical services installations

Experience and Skills Required

* You will be an experienced electrical design engineer with a proven record in building services.

* Ideally you will have a degree in a relevant subject or accredited building services degree.

* You will be an excellent communicator with a willingness to continue to learn and evolve and be open to help and mentor junior engineers develop
