My client, a data-driven, cyber underwriting powerhouse is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Risk Engineer to join their dynamic Labs team in Bristol.

This role is pivotal to the ongoing development of their proprietary cyber-risk model.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large-scale stochastic model development and high-performance scientific computing, with deep expertise in statistical modelling and probability.

Key Responsibilities

A key contributor to the development and enhancement of the Cybertooth system, their proprietary cyber-risk estimation system, ensuring its robustness and performance in assessing cyber risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources and methodologies into Cybertooth.
Conduct advanced statistical analyses, industry and threat analysis, and reporting to support cyber-risk assessment.
Optimise computational performance and scalability of the Cybertooth simulation.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in cyber-risk measurement & estimation, data science, and high-performance computing to continuously improve our system's capabilities.Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in a related field, such as risk/catastrophe modelling, actuarial science, quantitative finance, data science, or a similar discipline involving large scale simulation of correlated events and extreme scenarios.
Real world commercial expertise in statistical modelling and probability.
