Morgan King Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Project Manager to join our client in Leeds. This is a key role for a professional with strong project management skills, responsible for delivering large-scale mechanical projects in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Job Overview: As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical projects from start to finish. You will lead a team of engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the full lifecycle of mechanical projects, including budgeting, resource management, and schedule development.

* Lead and manage on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.

* Work closely with clients to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.

* Ensure the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, and piping) are completed in line with industry regulations.

* Regularly inspect project sites to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, addressing any issues promptly.

* Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or additional costs.

* Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

* Ensure all project documentation, including contracts and technical drawings, is properly maintained and up-to-date.

* Provide leadership and technical guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative working environment.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in the construction or mechanical engineering sectors.

* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and industrial piping installations.

* Solid understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure, ensuring smooth project delivery.

* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or project management.

* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

* Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office applications.
