Location: Newton Abbot
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary: £30,000 per annum

The Role: CAD Technician
Are you seeking a technically varied and rewarding contract role? We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a CAD Technician.

You will possess strong CAD skills, particularly with SolidWorks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to designs that enhance the quality of life for children with additional needs.

Role Description:
As a CAD Engineer, you will model existing products and their components, creating essential drawing packs and updating BOM listings. You will handle multiple priorities while ensuring deadlines are met, and provide regular updates to your line manager on project progress.

Key Duties:

* Transfer CAD/CNC programme data to new media and ensure accuracy.

* Produce daily run programmes for CNC machines.

* Verify and correct bills of material as needed.

* Update BOMs and production routings on the ERP system.

* Check CAD drawings against actual production parts, logging and amending discrepancies.

* Perform additional tasks to support factory or company operations.

* Minimum NVQ Level 2 in engineering.

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in 3D modelling CAD.
