My client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team at Hinkley Point C. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a £85m E&I project in the UKs largest nuclear new build project.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the construction team is achieving best value to meet commercial targets.
Ensure compliance with contractual processes and commercial governance.
Support contract production and negotiations to secure the best terms.
Prepare monthly site valuation and work progress reports.
Assist in evaluating and preparing project payment applications.
Verify sub-contractor monthly claims and be responsible for site measurement.
Ensure all pricing documents, bills of quantities (BQ), contract documents, and quotations are in order.
Responsible for the costing and preparation of pricing documents for submission.
Monitor and control project budgets and cash flow, ensuring accurate forecasting to meet business expectations.
Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to support reporting to the Senior Team.
Support head office in managing compliant material purchasing.
Liaise with site teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Commercial focus and strong commercial acumen.
FIDIC and NEC contract experience.
Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on large projects
