We are a small, welcoming primary school nestled in the beautiful area of Pendle, East Lancashire, looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS/Key Stage 1 teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a love for learning in our youngest pupils.
About the Role
As our new EYFS/Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will lead a class of around 25 pupils, delivering a curriculum that inspires curiosity, resilience, and creativity. This role involves guiding our young learners through the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum, setting a strong foundation for their educational journey. You will work closely with our supportive staff team to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment tailored to the needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and inclusive lessons aligned with the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Create a supportive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and encouraged to achieve their best.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning needs.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to support each child’s academic and personal development.
Inspire a love for learning, encouraging children to explore and develop their interests and skills.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching EYFS or Key Stage 1.
Strong understanding of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a positive impact on young learners.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, engaging learning environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
