This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a top-quality Training Provider with a proven track record in the Training and Development sector.

Do you want the opportunity to engage with young people? Are you looking for a rewarding career that will help change the shape of a young person’s life and career? Do you have the drive, enthusiasm, and dedication to make a real difference?

The Company is a leading training provider, and we pride ourselves on our commitment and passion for the learning and development of our learners. We are currently looking for a Tutor to join our successful Study Programme Team. The Team delivers two pre-apprenticeship programmes: Employability Skills and In-centre Traineeships in our Accrington, Oldham, and Bury Centres.

Both programmes are tailored to the needs of students aged 16-18 who are not ready or able to directly enter an Apprenticeship, employment, or other post-16 alternatives. This challenging and rewarding role will suit a passionate and engaging tutor with proven experience and/or a desire to work with learners between the ages of 16 – 18.

We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualities:

Developing session plans and schemes of work.

Keeping abreast of local influences and current affairs.

Recording student progress following each session and conducting regular reviews of students’ progress.

Carrying out one-to-one assessments with students to achieve the Employability Skills qualification.

Participating in any Study Programme promotional events, such as careers conventions, parents’ evenings, job fairs, open days, etc.
The role will be based in our Bury centre with travel to Oldham and Accrington centres when required (flexibility is essential). Please see the person profile and job description below for full details of the role and requirements of applicants.

The Company operates throughout the North West of England and other geographical areas, so a driving license is essential.

The Company has both a moral and legal responsibility to ensure the safeguarding of staff and learners. Applicants will be required to complete the necessary checks throughout the recruitment process, including Disclosure and Barring Service checks, to demonstrate this commitment to the highest level.

The Company is committed to Equal Opportunities, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
