We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to work for a main contractor within the Water Industry.
PURPOSE
Co-ordinate the site installation/on-site testing teams. To provide an efficient service without compromising on quality of workmanship and the health and safety of themselves and others. Will be required to undertake/co-ordinate information gathering, labour control and assistance with Inspection and testing/Installations on various site.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Work in close co-ordination with your allocated engineer
* To lead/supervise and to undertake on site works as and when necessary.
* Control and co-ordination of sub-contractors as and when necessary.
* To assist the Senior Engineer with the financial aspects of the projects under your supervision.
* Provide reports of inspections undertaken and report directly to clients/attend meetings if requested.
* Provide holiday and absence cover within the team where appropriate.
* To maintain and improve client relationships and assist in the company’s growth by identifying new opportunities/ areas of work within your region.
* Be aware of project budget and work to improve on timescales
* Preparation of risk assessments and method statements.
* Hold team briefings with the on-site teams and deliver health and safety talks.
* Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
* Comply with Company rules, policies and procedures at all times.
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks which may be required from time to time and to enable the company to remain adaptable to changing markets and needs.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
* Qualified to 17th Edition (BS7671)
* City and Guilds 232/2360 or equivalent
* City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing
* Must be willing to be a Qualifying Manager for the NICEIC.
* Strong communication skills.
* Previous supervisory experience or training
* Wide experience in the maintenance, repair and installation of industrial plant, equipment and controls.
* Wide experience of pumping systems.
* Awareness & understanding of the importance of H&S, Environmental and Quality systems.
* Planning and organising ability.
Ideally candidates will have a water industry background but cndidates from industries such as building maintenance will be considered
