Job Title: Highways Health and Safety Manager
Salary: £75,000
Location: Winchester
The Highways Health and Safety Manager will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of the company's Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) strategic plan. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that safety management systems meet both internal standards and external legal requirements.
- Promoting a culture of safety and collaboration across all projects, ensuring that all individuals impacted by the company's work are protected.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of safety processes and people development.
- Providing expert advice on SHE legal obligations and industry best practices.

Experience & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of SHE legislation
- Practical experience in implementing SHE processes at remote sites
- Experience working in highways
- Familiarity with civil engineering methodologies, particularly within the higways sector
- Knowledge of construction disciplines such as groundworks, earthworks, drainage, and structures
Required Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or similar qualification
- Experience in a Tier 1 contracting environment would be an advantage
