£450 - £500 (Outside IR35)
 
We are seeking a skilled Content Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing user-centred content that meets the needs of our audience. You will play a key role in ensuring that our digital services are engaging, accessible, and effectively communicate the intended message.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, write, and edit content for various digital platforms, ensuring it meets user needs and aligns with project goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders to produce clear, concise, and engaging content that adheres to established guidelines.
Conduct GDS assessments and ensure compliance with Government Digital Service standards throughout the content creation process.
Assess and enhance the accessibility of all content, ensuring it meets established accessibility standards.
Continuously gather and incorporate user feedback to improve content quality and user experience.
Stay updated on best practises and trends in content design, accessibility, and user experience. 
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Content Designer, Copywriter, or similar role, preferably within a government or public sector context.
Strong understanding of GDS standards and content design best practises.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and facilitate discussions.
Proficient in using content management systems and digital tools
