Job Title: Print Lead Operator – Day Shift
Location: Wymondham, Norfolk
Salary: £29,749
We are recruiting for Print Lead Operator to join our client based in Wymondham, Norfolk.
The site specialises in production of outbound and inbound document services. The site contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability for the purposes of outbound mail and postal and electronic receipt, capture, validation, and document storage for the purposes of inbound mail. In addition, Production Services, Finance, and IT functions reside on the site. Both Inbound and Outbound operations provide services for multiple customers.
Purpose of the role
The role of supporting Lead Operator is a key position in Paragon Abbey View site. The Lead Operator is responsible for working the day-to-day operator duties and supporting Senior Operator duties consisting of Health and Safety, SLA delivery, managing daily peak workloads and additional key responsibilities. This also includes setting a positive tone and generating an open and trusting work environment.
In the event of the Senior Operators absence, you will be expected to take lead on Health and Safety, SLA Delivery and planning activities including full supervision during weekend working.
Main Duties:
Adhere to defined quality standards and processes in all activities, ensuring best practice is adopted
Demonstrate ability to effectively coach the team
Monitor team throughput and organise staff as necessary to achieve team SLAs
Monitor Operators quality and throughput targets are achieved
Demonstrate drive and support for continuous improvement activity
Provide support in identifying process weakness through continuous improvement methodologies
Experience/Qualifications:
Experience of working to tight deadlines
A reasonable level of competence in the use of a PC and Microsoft applications
DMAIC Certification is desirable
Experience within Print is essential
Shift Pattern:
Week 1 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, contracted hours, working 7.00am to 7.00pm, working 11 hours per shift.
Week 2 – Monday and Tuesday, working 7.00am to 7.00pm, working 11 hours per shift.
Total = 80.5 = Average = 40.25 per week
