Key responsibilities as Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker:
Assist residents with personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding as well as daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and household chores
Support service users to access the community, attend appointments, and engage in activities they enjoy
Follow plans, risk assessments, and service protocols
Support mobility and help residents move safely (using hoists and mobility aids where required)
Monitor and report any changes in residents physical or emotional condition
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
Assist with mealtime preparation and feeding where required
Maintain accurate care records and report concerns to senior staff
Work collaboratively with care home staff and healthcare professionals
We’re looking for a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker with:
Experience working in a care home or similar healthcare setting
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Up-to-date mandatory training
Right to work in the UK
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and reliable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
Experience assisting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or MAPA/PMVA training
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Driver with access to a vehicle
