EIC Partnership are a forward-thinking utilities consultancy, with 50 years’ experience of helping business clients take effective control of their energy, water and waste – lowering their bills, saving them time and contributing to a more sustainable future.

We are looking for a skilled and driven Bid Writer to join our Creative Content Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the growth of our business by crafting compelling bids and proposals. You will be at the heart of our efforts to secure new clients, working closely with the Team Coordinator and the Head of Creative Content to ensure that all submissions are not only timely but also resonate with our clients' needs and expectations.

As a key player in our team, you will take ownership of the bid process from start to finish—bringing together insights from various departments, articulating our value propositions, and ultimately helping us win more business. If you are someone who enjoys both the challenge of a deadline and the satisfaction of a well-crafted proposal, this role offers the perfect blend of creativity and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Tender and Proposal Writing:

* Write and edit high-quality, compelling bid and proposal content that clearly articulates our value proposition.

* Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product teams, to gather necessary information for proposals.

* Ensure that all content meets the client's requirements and aligns with the company’s win themes and messaging.

Coordination and Submission:

* Work alongside the Team Coordinator to manage the bid calendar and ensure timely submission of all tender documents.

* Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including drafting, proofreading, and finalising all submissions.

* Coordinate and lead storyboarding sessions to develop proposal structures and strategies.

Market Research and Tender Identification:

* Proactively identify new tender opportunities across the three key brands within our business.

* Conduct market research to support the development of bid strategies and understand client needs.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

* Engage with subject matter experts to obtain the necessary content and insights for bids.

* Maintain communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations throughout the bid process.

Documentation and Knowledge Management:

* Manage and update the bid knowledgebase with new content and templates for future use.

* Ensure all bid-related documents are organised and stored appropriately for easy access and reference.

Skills and Experience Required:

Skills:

* Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of English.

* Excellent project management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with proposal automation software.

Experience:

* At least 2-3 years of experience in bid writing, with a proven track-record of winning tenders.

* Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle and experience in coordinating and managing multiple bids simultaneously.

Desirable:

* Qualifications in writing/literature or a demonstrable portfolio.

* A proactive, “go-getter” attitude with a desire to seek out and secure new business opportunities.

* Energy industry and/or sustainability knowledge/experience

Benefits:

* EIC Partnership is an Employee Ownership Trust

* Additional leave

* Hybrid working options

* Cycle to work scheme

* Health & wellbeing programme

* High-street and online shopping discounts

* On-site parking
