Registered Nurse - £20ph – Lytham St Annes
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Location: Lytham St Annes
Hours: 24 hours per week
Shifts: 8am to 8pm
Salary: £20 per hour (Enhanced Overtime Rate: £28 per hour)

We are currently recruiting a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team at Lytham Court Nursing Home.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement nursing care plans, ensuring the highest level of personal care and attention is provided to residents in line with their individual needs.
• Comply with all relevant statutory and legal requirements, such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and the Care Standard Act, ensuring safe reporting of accidents and incidents.
• Ensure safeguarding of residents from abuse, in accordance with safeguarding protocols.
• Deliver and supervise nursing care while being a resource for the care team, identifying training needs and supporting colleagues.
• Maintain NMC professional registration and adhere to NMC Codes of Practice, including medication administration, record-keeping, and professional conduct.
• Accurately administer medication to residents, maintaining appropriate records.
• Oversee stock control of prescribed medication and medical products, reporting any requirements to the Line Manager.
• Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding residents’ personal information and any incidents occurring during care.
• Actively contribute to staff meetings and care plan reviews, promoting good communication and supporting the induction of new team members.
• Be assigned as a named nurse for a designated group of residents, ensuring care is consistent and personalised.
• Participate in staff training, supervision, and appraisals as agreed with your line manager.
• Maintain mandatory training and comply with ongoing professional development.
• Ensure confidentiality of all information relating to residents and staff.
• Undertake any other operational duties as required by the Line Manager, with tasks prioritised according to the needs of the home.
Person Specification:
• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Experience in elderly care (preferred)
• Knowledge and practice of care planning
• Professional, compassionate, and patient with a warm personality
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring disposition
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
• Willing to train and support colleagues in their development
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to reliably commute to Lytham St. Annes or relocate before starting work (required)
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred
• NMC Pin: Required
