If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in working as part of a team within the ELGA Lane End Component Storage Warehouse, involving in receiving component deliveries, storage and the controlled “Kitting”, issuing of all components for the manufacture of ELW products. Brief responsibilities of a Stores and Packing Operative are:
* Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own job and is considered basic. The tasks are generally routine and manual. Some formal training or experience is required to perform the job effectively.
* To correctly carry out Goods Inwards process of receiving components from direct suppliers or appointed third party carriers.
* To understand, and maintain good inventory control within the Component Warehouse.
* Day to day activity of accurately picking of parts, Works Order Kits which are carefully packaged/consolidated efficiently and in a timely quality manner for production.
* Ensure all tasks are conducted professionally, operating within recognised Health and Safety guidelines.
* Uphold and maintain ELW ISO quality standards, procedures which affect Warehouse operation.
* Working with line management to implement improvement techniques/initiatives within the warehouse area.
* Maintain an effective 5S policy within the area of responsibility.
* Work within the established Warehouse Performance Management System.
General requirements for the role:
* Good understanding of Stock Inventory principles and Health and Safety practices
* Ability to work in a cohesive motivated team
* Maths and English - GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C
* Good IT skills. Experience of Google suite would be an advantage
* Disciplined and organised approach to tasks with the ability to prioritise
* Self motivating, conscientious and organised
* Good team building, motivated, enthusiastic skill set
* Flexible and innovative approach to problem solving
* Manual Handling training would be a benefit, but training will be provided
* A clean UK driving licence is desirable
* A forklift licence would be an advantage
