Service Manager | Manchester | 37.5 hours per week, 30 min break unpaid. Mon-Friday between the hours of 9am - 6pm to be arranged | £32,000-£36,000 per annum pro rata

You will work with the Registered Manager to provide high-quality support, promoting residents' independence and helping them lead sustainable lives. Your role will be key to ensuring residents receive the respect, resources, and support they need to thrive.

This role entails creating and executing personalised support plans for residents with complex challenges, including mental health issues. You will work with external agencies, track progress, and ensure top-quality service delivery.

To excel in this role, you should have strong leadership skills, a compassionate nature, and the ability to think creatively when solving problems. You will need to be organised, proactive, and committed to promoting the well-being and independence of vulnerable individuals.

Essential qualities include:

At least 3 years' experience in a service management role
Experience in drug and alcohol abuse
Must have experience working within the Homelessness sector
Strong understanding of risk management, information sharing, and data security
Commitment to equal opportunities and diversity; ability to promote fair treatment of colleagues and clients
Proficient in IT for high-quality reporting, including using data capture systems and running queries
Experience assisting those at risk of homelessness with benefits and housing stability
Experience working with high-risk or complex-need individuals, such as those with mental health, substance abuse, or domestic violence issues
Knowledge of supported accommodation and pre-tenancy services for homeless individuals
Familiarity with Probation services
Experience supporting people with mental health needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player with initiative
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Positive, respectful, and non-judgmental attitude toward residents
What will your role look like?

Work with external professionals to create and manage treatment plans for residents with physical and mental health conditions. Ensure all risk assessments and support needs are regularly reviewed and updated.
Oversee the induction process, including ensuring housing benefit claims are completed swiftly and efficiently upon arrival.
Lead the development and implementation of tailored, person-centered support plans that focus on achieving positive outcomes and safe exits for residents.
Facilitate a collaborative approach to care, working with external services such as mental health, substance misuse, and probation services to provide holistic support.
Maintain accurate records, ensure seamless communication with support workers and management, and provide weekly updates on resident progress.

Honesty, promptness, respect, and optimism are key to building strong relationships with residents and staff.
All work with residents is guided by support plans and ensures personal goals are achieved.
Residents feel supported, understood, and able to make informed decisions about their future.
Regular supervision, personal development plans, and training ensure you are continuously growing in your role.
