Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Drywall Sector - Tonbridge, Kent

Brief:

We are currently partnering with a leading specialist contractor in the drywall, suspended ceilings, and steel framing sector, who are looking to hire an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with previous experience in the drywall industry to join a fast-growing team delivering high-quality projects across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting in the preparation of tender documents and cost estimates.

* Supporting the management of project budgets and cost control.

* Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor project progress.

* Assisting in the preparation of valuations, payments, and variations.

* Preparing and submitting final accounts.

* Liaising with contractors, clients, and suppliers.

* Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About You:

* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred, but not essential.

* Some experience in the construction industry is beneficial, particularly in drywall or similar trades.

* Strong organisational and communication skills.

* Ability to work well in a team and under the guidance of senior staff.

* A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude with a strong attention to detail.
