Sophia at is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal in Exeter.
This role offers the chance to join a respected law firm with a strong reputation in civil litigation across the South West.
Our client is a well-established firm known for its broad range of civil litigation work, including commercial and property disputes, and contentious probate. They pride themselves on their team ethos, with everyone working together to achieve high-quality service for clients and colleagues alike.
The working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with a one-hour lunch break and you’ll be based in the Exeter office, with occasional travel to other South West offices as required
Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
Assist lawyers (under supervision) on various litigation files, including personal injury, contentious probate, landlord and tenant disputes, property matters, and debt collection
Attend meetings and liaise with counsel as required
Prepare for mediations, hearings, and trials
Draft simple witness statements and correspondence
Obtain, collate, and organise documents
Undertake research and carry out investigations
Time-record in accordance with the firm's policy
Liaise with clients by telephone and in person
Perform administrative duties and file management
Litigation Paralegal Requirements:
At least two years' experience in a similar role
A degree or extensive work-based experience in a related field
Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with case management software
Strong communication and relationship management skills
A flexible approach and ability to work well within a team environment
Commercial awareness and business aptitude
Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication skills
A driving licence and regular access to own transport
