Overview
Working as part of the Finance team within the Payroll department you will be responsible for processing the weekly payroll, providing value adding management information and the completion of submissions to authorities and other bodies.

This is an ideal position for someone looking to embark on a career in Payroll or to increase their payroll knowledge.

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week. Working days will be Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Full on the job training will be provided and we are also able to consider training support for those wanting to gain professional qualifications in Payroll.

Responsibilities
Processing payroll to include:
Starter and Leaver processing
Processing of changes to employment details and personal details
Processing Statutory Sick Pay and Occupational Sick Pay
Processing Maternity and Paternity Pay and Leave
Checking, formatting and uploading of timesheets
Payroll calculation exception checking
Creation and submission of FPS files, Bacs files and Costing files
Completion of weekly reports
Resolution of employee queries
Processing of 3 rd party payments
Any other duties commensurate with the level of salary. About you
Essential:
GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
Previous experience of working within an office environment.
Previous experience of liaising with customers in both written and verbal formats.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook packages.
Able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Desirable:
Part or fully AAT qualified.
Previous experience of working within a Payroll department.
Experience of using ResourceLink Payroll system.
Previous experience of working to strict deadlines.
Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel to an advanced level. Personal Qualities:
