About the role
As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you’ll support students in Stoke-on-Trent secondary schools, managing classrooms in the absence of regular teachers. This role is ideal for those looking to gain classroom experience, develop skills, and enjoy a flexible work schedule. You’ll be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring students stay on task, making a positive impact on their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate pre-planned lessons across various subjects, maintaining focus in the classroom.
Manage student behaviour to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Assist students with their work and respond to their questions when necessary.
Adapt to different schools and year groups, building experience across a variety of settings.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Trainee Cover Supervisor you will:
Strong communication skills and an interest in supporting secondary school students.
Reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to professional standards.
No prior teaching experience required – we provide full training for successful candidates.
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
