This is a full time and permanent role, working a 35 hour week and offers the following benefits:

25 days leave + bank holidays. This increases with loyalty.
Flexible start times between 8am - 9am and flexible finish between 4pm and 5pm. 2pm finish every other Friday.
Hybrid working arrangement - 2 days per week can be worked remotely. Monday's are office days.

We have a new opportunity, within our Purchasing team, for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to support our Head of MDA/SDA in all aspects of the purchasing relationship between client and specified suppliers. As the Assistant Buyer you will be directly responsible for your own group of suppliers which collectively contribute to a large proportion of the category turnover. You will also be required to identify through market research and industry analysis new opportunities initially in the field in order to grow the business. You will also be required to provide some analytical data to support decision making. It is important you have the ability to communicate effectively with the confidence to influence and engage at all levels.

Essential:

Previous retail/shop or buying experience
Some experience in a similar role in reviewing competitor information and analysing data and presenting findings via reports and presentations for all levels of the business
Previous negotiation experience
Desirable:
Passion for purchasing environment and in particular an interest in home tech and IT
