The Role – Production Line Leader

Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Production Line Leader for our client a Fresh Produce business based in Dartford in Kent . In this role you will be responsible for running a production line ensuring the delivery of daily packing plans ensuring all orders are packed to customer specification within agreed time restraints and KPIs.

The Person

Suitable candidates will have previous experience working in Fresh Produce within a production packing facility for a minimum of 12 months. Must be able to lead and supervise a team of production line workers , monitor lines , ensuring standards and implemented, managing daily production KPI’s with a good understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, D365 etc.. Good interpersonal skills, written and spoken English with excellent time management skills

Key Role Requirements

* Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of production line workers to ensure efficient and timely production processes.

* Product Quality Assurance: Monitor the production line to maintain product quality standards and ensure compliance with company guidelines and food safety regulations.

* Production Targets: Ensure daily production targets and quotas are met, adjusting workflow and manpower as necessary to optimize performance.

* Health & Safety: Promote and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring that all team members follow proper procedures to minimize risk in the workplace.

* Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training for new employees, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and maintain high performance.

* Communication: Act as the liaison between the production team and management, communicating any issues, delays, or successes in real time.

* Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and supplies, ensuring that the line has what it needs to meet production goals.

* Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production metrics, shift reports, and any incidents that occur during production.
