Site Engineer – Earthworks Scheme (Edinburgh – 5-Month Contract)

Rate: £300 - £350 per day (DOE)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major earthworks project in Edinburgh for a 5-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable civil engineering contractor on a large-scale infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

* Setting out and surveying for earthworks operations

* Ensuring quality control and compliance with specifications

* Assisting with site documentation, reports, and progress updates

* Managing subcontractors and liaising with project stakeholders

* Ensuring HSE regulations and site safety standards are met

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on earthworks or civils projects

* Proficiency in using GPS, total station, and other surveying equipment

* Strong understanding of site paperwork, method statements, and risk assessments

* Valid CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications

* SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
