THE ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will work on the project whilst adhering to strict deadlines and budgets, whilst providing mechanical service designs at RIBA stages on projects locally and internationally.
*
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will chair recurrent meetings with entirety of design team, supporting the project delivery.
*
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of the mechanical building systems including air conditioning, heating, natural and mechanical ventilation and building controls.
*
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be pivotal in the company's long-term progression.
*
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will chair client meetings, managing expectations to ensure delivery to a time and a budget.
*
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ensure the delivery of early-stage designs, with a large focus on RIBA stages 2 to 4.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
*
Qualified to a bachelor’s degree (BEng) or higher (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
*
Experience with undertaking HVAC designs, with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in various complex projects within a consultancy is essential.
*
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have experience of designing into Revit MEP.
*
Excellent communication skills.
*
Demonstrate commitment to supporting the professional development of less experienced staff, by effective mentoring and coaching of less experienced staff.
*
No prior Data Centre experience.
