E & M Talent Partners are delighted to be supporting an exceptional family run business in the Pontefract area in appointing an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

Working in their vibrant office, reporting into the Managing Director you will be responsible for all finance duties up to but not including the management accounts.

In order to be successful in securing this role you will need to demonstrate previous experience across all transactional finance duties. This will be a varied role that will incorporate a range of office management type responsibilities and general admin. Duties are likely to include:

- Full ownership of the Accounts Payable function

- Matching, batching and coding high volume invoices

- Purchase and Sales ledgers inc debits, credits and remittance advice

- Liaising with Group Accounts, sites and procurement teams to make sure purchase orders are receipted in a timely manner

- Passing invoices for payment with Group Accounts

- Investigating invoices in query and resolving the query with the supplier and the relevant team/manager

- Reconciling supplier statements

- Raising subcontractors purchase orders in line with their CIS status

- Passing the subcontractors invoices for payment -

- Meet and greet visitors

- Answering telephone calls and taking messages for the wider team

This position is an essential part of the successful function of their office environment and requires someone to work on site full time.

Salary up to £31,000pa
