Project Manager | High-End Residential - Hampshire

This well-established, prestigious, family run building contractor specialises in renovation, extension and refurbishments of period and bespoke one-off properties.

They have a requirement for a Project Manager to take ownership of a phase of works on one of their most prestigious high-end residential projects in the South East. You will be working with a Quantity Surveyor and Site Manager and will be reporting to the site-based Project Director.

The project itself is a major refurbishment of a 17th Century private country estate of approximately 2000 acres. There are multiple high-value projects happening simultaneously under one contract including the refurbishment of a Grade II listed property, restoration and alteration of a Grade II listed courtyard, restoration of historic horse stalls and a new events space, staff accommodation and heavy landscaping.

Duties:
·Directing and coordinating all project activities
·Setting, reviewing, and implementing project strategy.
·Utilizing Project Commander software for programming, reporting, and delay analysis.
·Overseeing people management, including team leadership, recruitment, and client expectations.
·Understanding JCT contracts, managing notifications, claims, and disputes.
·Proactively working with commercial team members, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring accurate reporting.
·Proactively managing all aspects of SHE on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations.
·Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of compliance matters and utilizing company processes and systems

Key Skills:
·Managed projects valued between £2M and £6M.
·Understanding and managing complex project information.
·Technical and construction knowledge, including contemporary and traditional construction methods, conservation, listed buildings, basements, and RC substructures.
·Competency in IT software packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Project, and PDF editing.

SMSTS

This role can also be called site manager, construction manager, Contracts Manager and senior site manager.
