gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work at their facility based near Burton-on-Trent.

Performance Objectives

Design and develop HVAC systems for industrial and commercial premises.
Design calculations including duct sizing, equipment, pipework etc.
Technical support for the project team.
Assist the estimating team by sourcing quotations from suppliers and vetting quotations for compliance with employer's requirement, specifications, and standards etc.
Stay up to date with the latest regulations and standards and merging technologies.
Review design and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
Co-ordinate with clients, architects, and project teams.Person Specification

HND in Mechanical Engineering or building services.
Proficient using CAD/Revit
Proficient using HVAC software.
Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of regulations and building codes.
Problem Solving.
Analytical thinking.
Communication
Collaborative working
Professional membership would be advantageous.Apply
