XYZ Miller, Poole, £22 per hour
Purpose
As an XYZ Miller, you will be an integral part of the team, responsible for producing high-precision components by programming, setting up, and operating XYZ CNC Mills. Experience with lathes and manual machining is desired but not essential, as full training can be provided. You will ensure that parts are produced to customer specifications and meet production deadlines in a quality-driven environment.

Key Duties as an XYZ Miller:
Program, set up, and operate XYZ CNC Mills, with the potential to work with lathes and manual machines (Siemens controls).
Interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications to program machines for the production of accurate and high-quality components.
Produce a variety of machined components using different materials, such as stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium, and exotic metals.
Work both independently and as part of a team to efficiently manage production deadlines.
Inspect your own work using appropriate measuring equipment to ensure precision and quality.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Work to tight tolerances and handle both batch runs and one-off components.
Your experience as a XYZ Miller will include:
Ideally, experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC Mills and lathes, but training can be provided.
The ability to interpret technical drawings and work with a variety of materials.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances.
Familiarity with using measuring equipment and performing self-inspections.
A positive, self-motivated attitude with a focus on quality and meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop environment.
