Outreach Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic Outreach Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic 'Good' Ofsted rated SEMH School located Bournemouth, Dorset supporting pupils with SEMH/ADHD/Autism.

This is a great opportunity, to help enrich and develop childrens lives whilst improving attendance and attitudes towards learning.

As an Outreach Teaching Assistant you will be involved in undertaking learning activities both on-site and off-site with pupils with varying abilities to include:

Preparing and adapting resources to ensure differentiation and access to the curriculum.
Delivering activities in classroom settings, sometimes without a class teacher present, with the support of a teaching assistant.
Identifying and risk-assessing suitable off-site venues for learning activities.
Monitoring and conducting dynamic risk assessments during off-site activities, taking necessary actions to address any risks based on student engagement and external factors.Contract Details for Outreach Teaching Assistant:

Minimum rate of pay: £(phone number removed) per dayExperience, Training and Qualifications needed for Outreach Teaching Assistant role:

Previous experience in education is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
A passion for working with children with SEMH.
Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
Level 3 Qualifications / ELSA Qualifications / DegreeTo be eligible you must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Full UK Driving License and Business Car Insurance (essential for off-site activities)
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
