The Role
As the Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations across multiple locations within the region. You will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure robust financial control, and support decision-making processes to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
* Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to regional management teams to drive business performance.
* Monitor and report on key financial metrics, identifying trends and variances, and proposing corrective actions where necessary.
* Lead the annual budgeting process for the region, working closely with operational teams to ensure realistic and achievable targets.
* Ensure effective financial controls are in place and adhered to, conducting regular reviews and audits as required.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.
* Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
* Support the succession planning process, preparing to transition into a senior leadership role within the next 18 months.
Qualifications and Experience:
* CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in management accounting, preferably within a regional or multi-site environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
* Experience in team management and development is highly desirable.
