Senior Planner - Civil Engineering & Rail - Birmingham

Are you an experienced Senior Planner looking for a new challenge within a leading civil engineering and rail contractor? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business that is expanding its team in Birmingham.

The Role:
As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing project programmes for major rail and civil engineering schemes. You will work closely with project teams, ensuring efficient planning, forecasting, and reporting to drive successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using planning software.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure realistic scheduling.
* Identify risks and opportunities, providing mitigation strategies.
* Monitor project progress, reporting deviations and recommending corrective actions.
* Support tender submissions with detailed planning and methodology input.

About You:
* Extensive planning experience within the civil engineering or rail sector.
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing.
* Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other planning software.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to analyse data and provide strategic planning advice.
