Job title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Manchester

Industry: Refurb & Fire Stopping

Day Rate: £400 - £450 p/d

The position advertised is an excellent opportunity working with a Subcontractor on a freelance basis. This would be ideal for someone interested in working on Earth & Groundworks projects valued from £200k - £4m.

Experience working for a subcontractor and within the civil engineering industry is essential.

The successful candidate will be a diligent and efficient professional, proficient in the delivery of procurement, commercial management, and final accounting.

Duties involved in the role:

Liaison with clients and project managers
Commercial acumen with some focus on the contractual aspect of projects
Measurement, pricing, and negotiation of any variations that arise
Resolution of project cost discrepancies
Compilation of subcontract orders to meet approval
Attendance of pre contract meetings to liaise with professional construction team and ensure completion of planned process
Continual contact with management in both contracts and site to assist in the efficient delivery of site and office-based tasks
