Landscaping Supervisor, Major Projects
Salary £40,000 to £45,000 + Bonus, Van & Overtime

These are Full Time, Permanent, Employed positions. That means that you are paid for ALL annual working days and include Holiday Pay and Sick Pay. You will have a fully funded company vehicle and will usually travel directly from home to your site.
You will be working for a successful Landscape company that has been operating for 35 years. Together with your team you will be working on large scale landscaping projects including; regenerating parks and gardens, creating public paths, greenspaces and SANGS and building green infrastructure projects. Their clients come from all sectors from local authorities, royal parks, commercial developers, schools and universities to high-end luxury developers
The Job:
As a Supervisor you will work with 3 or 4 other Supervisors managing a total team of about 10 on site. These will include skilled labour, sub-contracted workers and employed staff.
* Using Plans and Planting Diagrams to accurately create major landscaping schemes
* Soil preparation, importing topsoil, grading and levelling
* Seeding and turfing
* Fencing
* Building hoggin paths
* Barking / Mulching
* Planting shrubs, tree whips and mature trees
* Building foot bridges and installing street furniture
* Picking up and driving your team
* Making sure that completed work is recorded and reported
* Communicating any issues or problems with your Line Manager
* Toolbox talks and the recording of any H&S issues, Observations or Accidents
* Making sure you have the correct uniform and PPE
* Ensuring that all vehicles and machinery that you use are in good order and safe to operate
* Making sure that all tools and equipment are well maintained, clean and serviceable
The Person:
You will be a Team Leader with about 2 years’ experience in constructing large landscaping projects. You should have current CSCS Card, Excavator above / below 10 tonnes, Dumper and a driving licence. Ideally you would also have a SSSTS or SMSTS qualification. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills
