Job Title: Data Engineer

Salary: £22,609 plus Veolia benefits

Location: Kingswood / London Kings Cross

Programme Duration: 28-months

Apprenticeship Programme;

During this programme, we'll help you develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career.

As well as this, you'll also gain a Level 5 Data Engineer qualification and complete Geographic Information Systems (GIS) .

With many of our colleagues starting as apprentices, you'll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout.

By the end of your apprenticeship, you'll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.

What you'll be doing;

- Learn to develop datasets for Delta Lake (Databricks), ArcGIS, and PostgreSQL

- Learn to write python/pyspark spatial workflows to analyse and transform data into target datasets

- Learn to create and publish maps and web applications in ArcGIS Online based on these datasets

- Work with colleagues to support GIS solutions such as this

- Document your solutions for technical and non-technical audiences

What we're looking for;

- A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths & English

- Someone who is keen to develop and learn new skills

- Knowledge of Python (desirable)

- Drivers License

- Passionate about developing skills in Python, SQL, GIS, data modelling approaches, software testing, git, and a DevOps mindset
