Role Overview:

As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and safe environment for children, aged 0-5 years, that encourages their learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will lead a team of practitioners, ensuring high-quality care and education while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operation of the room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organised environment for the children.

Supervise, support, and motivate a team of Early Years Educators.

Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote all areas of learning.

Regularly observe and assess children's progress to create and update their individual learning profiles.

Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on children's development and maintaining positive relationships.

Ensure the room meets health and safety standards, following safeguarding policies and procedures.

Work closely with management to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.

Requirements:

Level 3 Early Years Education and Care qualification (or equivalent).

Proven experience working in an Early Years setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.

A passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journey.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A commitment to ensuring all children are safe, happy, and engaged in their learning.
