Web Analytics Specialist

6 months contract – with likelihood of extension

£500 - £550/day inside IR35

Based - South Manchester – 3 days a week

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled Web Analytics Specialist to provide accurate and actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making. The role involves educating stakeholders, ensuring data quality, and integrating web analytics with other systems. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert, staying updated on the latest tools and trends to enhance digital performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Web Analytics Insights: Deliver reliable and congruent web analytics insights, making information accessible for stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
Education and Training: Train and educate the business on using web analytics tools and insights to enhance understanding and promote data-informed decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, addressing data-related needs and identifying growth opportunities.
Subject Matter Expertise: Stay current on web analytics tools, trends, and best practices to enhance digital performance.
Project Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with web analytics goals and business objectives.
Estimation and Planning: Participate in project planning, providing guidance and ensuring clear requirements for accurate timelines and project success.
Functional Analysis: Analyse business processes and requirements to support process improvements and web analytics initiatives.
Problem-Solving and Research: Identify and develop solutions for business problems using web analytics data.
Testing and Support: Support the testing, implementation, and maintenance of web analytics tools, promoting user adoption.
Decision-Making Challenges:

Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify website trends and insights.
Develop comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings.
Ensure data quality and integrity, identifying and rectifying data issues.
Collaborate with departments to present data-driven recommendations.
Key Contacts and Relationships:

Revenue and Customer project team
Head of Data and Analytics and BI delivery team
Data and Analytics Portfolio team
Key stakeholders across various departments
3rd party system and data owners
Business analysts and report developers
Required Skills and Experience:

Expertise in Google Analytics (Universal Analytics and GA4)
Proficiency in data visualization tools like Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI
Familiarity with A/B testing tools (e.g., Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO)
Understanding of SEO and digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Ads)
Experience with tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager)
Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Understanding of web development frameworks and CMS (e.g., WordPress)
Awareness of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

Research: Assists in selecting and reviewing credible resources, contributing to knowledge updates and reporting.
Measurement: Identifies appropriate measures, supports development, and specifies data collection methods.
Data Management: Implements master data management processes, ensures data integrity, and advises on data transformation.
Business Intelligence: Supports complex BI needs, applies tools for insights, and identifies opportunities for data optimization.
Data Visualization: Applies visualisation techniques, automates data visual production, and contributes to experimental approaches.
Scientific Modelling & Numerical Analysis: Utilizes mathematical models, assesses algorithm performance, and iterates models using expert feedback.
Stakeholder Relationship Management: Manages issues, implements engagement plans, and enhances customer and stakeholder relationships.
